The Schedule
We are excited about our schedule line up that offers girls a chance to practice and rehearse with their band. This schedule may change a bit, but we will keep it updated.

Monday July 22nd
8am - 9am: registration in the downstairs lobby.
9am - 10am: we meet in the choir room for ‘get to know you’ games and meet the teachers. Each teacher will play one song for the students. Parents are welcome to attend. This is a good time for any questions you have
10am - Noon: students will go to their practice room with their teacher and meet their new band. Sometimes there will be some member changes between bands.
Noon: eat lunch in the lounge with your band.
12:30pm: meet back in the choir room for songwriting 101
1:30pm: band practice
2:45pm: meet back in the choir room for summary of the day and check out procedures
3pm - 3:30pm: check out time in the downstairs lobby

Tuesday July 23rd
8:30am - 9am: Students can come and sign in and report to their band room to practice
9:00am - 9:10am: meet in the choir room for announcements and attendance
9:10: band practice
Noon: lunch in cafeteria
12:20pm: walk around outside on the beautiful campus
12:30pm: band practice
1:45pm: each band plays what they have for other students
feel free to go to the other classrooms and listen in
2:15pm: band practice

Wednesday July 25th
8:30am - 9am: Students can come and sign in and report to their band room to practice
9am - 9:10am: meet in the choir room for announcements and attendance
9:10am - 10am: band practice
10am - 11am: self defense class for girls
11am - Noon: band practice
Noon: lunch in the cafeteria
12:30pm - 2:45pm: band practice
during this time, there will be “pull out’s” to help individual players with their instruments and helping bands with writing their songs
2:45pm - 3pm: meet back in the choir room

Thursday July 26th
8:30am - 9am Students can come and sign in and report to their band room to practice
9am - 9:10am: meet in the choir room for announcements and attendance
9:10 - 10am: band practice
10am - 10:30am: meet in the choir room for a discussion of women’s music history and gender in the music business
10:30am - Noon: band practice
Noon: lunch in the cafeteria
12:30pm: meet in either the choir room. The teachers will “jam” in a band setting and allow students to play with them.
1:30pm - 2:45pm: band practice
2:45pm - 3pm: meet back in the choir room

Friday July 27th
8:30am - 9am: Students can come and sign in and report to their band room to practice
9am - 9:10am: meet in the choir room for announcements and attendance
9:10 band practice - each band will discuss stage etiquette, plots, what to say on the microphone and pick out costumes.

12:30pm - 1:30pm: band practice
1:30pm: is dress rehearsal in the auditorium
3pm: get ready/ dressed up/ make up/ tune your guitar
3:30pm: is the performance in the auditorium ($2.50) broadcast live on our website at www.PopRockers.org

gathering in the lobby outside the auditorium. Parents can chat with the teachers.
